This post is everyt...XiXi you are blogging again ♥

This post is everything I've ever thought and more about college and friends and the future and phases of life. It is beautiful and wise and sobering and exciting! I like the habit of looking at everything you've done, good or bad, as something to learn from or something to think about. You deserve so many congratulations on 1) graduating and 2) thinking about life in such a mature way. I'm really proud of you and your successes - great LSAT scores and completed novels and much more! I have no doubt that you'll have many happy years to come, and that even if they're not always happy, they're good. Law school will be a great experience for you, I'm sure. And, fun fact...I've also decided to go to law school! It'll be a few years before I get there, but I actually cannot wait.

I just...I've missed hearing from you. :) Thank you for these words!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6244084325311642260.post-57032621706941296932012-05-03T14:18:31.427-07:002012-05-03T14:18:31.427-07:00It's nice to hear from someone who has gone th...It's nice to hear from someone who has gone through it all before. It's been a great four years.XiXihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05364953168828471897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6244084325311642260.post-74715665926053737852012-05-03T08:11:54.575-07:002012-05-03T08:11:54.575-07:00This is a very brave and wonderful post, Xixi. I am 41 and will be finishing up my Masters next year. I am slightly worried that all this extra schooling with be for naught (job-wise anyway). After all, there's no guarantee my degree will help me get a better job. I don't regret the things I've learned and the achievement of graduation. I do recognize a sense of hesitancy or fear though as I get nearer. I'll have to deal with what I do next. I have hopes of writing more (due to hopefully more available time), and I hope to move onward to a new level of occupation. I also know though that I will have to go elsewhere to use what I've learned since there's no way to use it at my current place of employment. That's another source of fear, as I've been here almost 20 years now and starting over in a new place can be daunting. I'm also the sole provider for my family, so I have that to be concerned with. Anyway, I guess my point is that all the things you are thinking about and feeling are okay, and this probably won't be the last time you step forward from one portal to your next adventure. It's daunting at times, but those of us who survive it can look back and admire how we handled what was thrown our way. I wish you luck but I'm quite certain you'll be great no matter what road you take. I know you probably weren't looking for kudos, but there you go anyway. Thanks for sharing with us :)Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07823808700523297184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6244084325311642260.post-5470493694000179952012-05-03T00:15:06.540-07:002012-05-03T00:15:06.540-07:00Oh Xixi, you are a profound girl. I've got a few years on you, and I STILL feel some of the things you've articulated in here. When I graduated college, I definitely expected to feel more, well, prepared for Life (with a capital L), but I found I still didn't have things totally figured out. It was very much less "closure" feeling than high school. I'm still trying to figure things out (taxes, I sort of did some of that this year), but I'm starting to get that I'll probably never really have things figured out.

It's a big open world. I just have to work up the courage to go out into it. :) In any case, ENJOY your last bit of time as an undergrad. I don't think these are the best four years of your life EVER, but they're SOMETHING special. You'll miss it when it's gone and you're starting to have a real quarterlife crisis. ;) CONGRATS!Krispyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09492607213249874138noreply@blogger.com
